A Night at the Jib Room
There is a popular cruisers haunt called the 'Jib Room'. We spent a great evening at a packed Jib Room listening to a popular cruiser/songwriter named Eileen Quinn. In the photos, you can see many of the wonderful cruisers we have met along the way. It is fascinating to hear each of their stories and plans which range from winter Bahamas cruises to multi-year world cruises. It was a special treat to meet the Atherholt's on Escape Velocity - heading out on a world cruise from Virginia, through the Panama Canal, to the Galapagos, South Pacific, Australia and beyond. On board is Bill and Nina and their 10 year old daughter Katarina - who as turned into a wonderful new friend for Lexie and Jillian. You will see gobs of posts coming up with the combined crews of Tide Pool and Escape Velocity as we have spent many memorable times together - from sleepovers, home schooling and our newly minted term 'Dinghy Safari'.

The cruisers in this picture all met in West End on our first day in the Bahamas nearly a month earlier. From Left to Right - Phil Littman Buoy N Sea, Les, Caroline Gypsy Common, Jillian, Trish Buoy N Sea, Grace, Candy, Elinor Lazy Bones
